CEFR이란?
Common European Framework of Reference
CEFR은 2001년 유럽의회에서 채택한 이래 전 세계적으로 사용하는 공통 언어 기준으로 사용되고 있습니다. CEFR은 A1부터 C2레벨까지의 총 6단계의 레벨로 구성이 되어 있으며 4개의 영역인 듣기 말하기 읽기 쓰기의 영역별 언어를 구사할수 있는 능력을 설명하고 있으며, 교수법 및 평가의 영역에서도 상세하게 기술이 되어 있어 전 세계의 학교, 기관 및 기업체에서 CEFR을 언어평가 기준으로 채택하고 있습니다.

CEFR 중국
중국의 교육부 산하 평가 기관인 National Education Examinations Authority (NEEA)에서 아래와 같이 CEFR을 도입하여 유치,초등부터 대학 입학 시험까지의 영어 평가 기준을 제시하고 있습니다
· PETS-5: Advanced level,[5] sufficient for studying and/or working outside of China,[6] sufficient for equivalent to an English major at a Chinese university after two years of studying English.[5]
· PETS-4: Upper intermediate level, equivalent to that of a non-English major student at a Chinese university after three years of studying English.[5]
· PETS-3: Intermediate level, equivalent to that of a non-English major student at a Chinese university after two years of studying English.[5]
· PETS-2: Lower intermediate level, equivalent to that of a student entering university in China.[5]
· PETS-1: Elementary level,[5] equivalent to completion of three years of English instruction, or what someone would have at the junior high school level.[7]

CEFR 일본
가까운 국가인 일본은 2004년 CEFR-J 협회를 설립 후 일본의 영어 교육 능력에 맞게 CEFR을 기반으로 CEFR-J의 영어 평가 기준을 만들어 2020년 전국 대학 입시에서 8개의 사립 평가 기관에서 시험을 본 인증서를 대입에 활용 할 수 있게 영어 교육 제도 개편을 했습니다.
